In conjunction with the Ministry of Interior’s General Directorate for Nationality, Passports and Residence, it is possible to obtain resident permits for household workers from any of the Post Office outlets.

Procedure:

  1. Please proceed to your nearest Post Office outlet located throughout the Kingdom of Bahrain.

  2. Complete the applicable application form.

  3. Submit the necessary documentation (as per service required).

    Required documents for new domestic worker:

      • Copy of the worker’s and sponsor’s CPR.
      • The worker’s original passport.
      • Worker’s medical examination report.
      • Completed application form.

    Required documents for renewal of the worker’s residence permit:

      • A copy of the sponsor’s CPR.
      • The worker’s original passport.
      • The original visa from the Ministry of Labor.
      • Completed application form.

    Required documents for issuing a return visa or cancellation:

      • A copy of the sponsor’s CPR.
      • The worker’s original passport.
      • Completed application form.

  4. Pay the associated service fee

  5. Collect payment receipt.

  6. Fill in the address to which you would like the acknowledgement notification to be delivered.

  7. Bahrain Post will only deliver the acknowledgement to its owner at the address provided on the envelope.

 

Fees
Visa fees (as per Ministry of Interior’s General Directorate of Nationality, Passports & Residence Affairs, Visa and Residence) in addition to BD 1 service fee.
