20 August 2025: The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications has announced that, as of August 28, Bahrain Post’s online services will be available exclusively through the MyGov application. The step seeks to unify access to government e-services and enhance the efficiency of the digital transformation process, in line with users’ expectations for a more seamless and integrated experience.

The ministry affirmed that the integration of the Bahrain Post application into MyGov, in cooperation with the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), aims to further improve efficiency and facilitate citizens’ and residents’ access to services through a single platform.

The postal services available on MyGov will include renewal of P.O. Box subscriptions, tracking of letters and parcels both locally and internationally, calculation of shipping costs, locating P.O. Boxes and post offices, as well as receiving notifications related to postal services.

The ministry urged all users to download MyGov application, available via the government apps portal bahrain.bh/apps, to benefit from the integrated postal services. Those wishing to obtain further information may contact 80008001, or submit suggestions and feedback through the National Suggestions and Complaints System "Tawasul" or via the "Tawasul" app.

29 May 2025 – The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications received seven Gold Shields in recognition of its post offices being awarded the Gold Category rating under the fifth cycle of the Government Service Centers Evaluation Program “Taqyeem 5.”

The awarded post offices are: Muharraq Post Office, Isa Town Post Office, Budaiya Post Office, Bahrain Mall Post Office, Hamad Town Post Office, Sitra Post Office, and Hidd Post Office.

The shields were presented by Mr. Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive of the Information & eGovernment Authority and Chairman of the Government Service Centers Evaluation Committee, along with Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration and Deputy Chairperson of the Evaluation Committee.

On this occasion, HE Fatima Abdullah Al Dhaen, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Post at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, affirmed that the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, represent a cornerstone in the ongoing development of government services and the enhancement of their efficiency and quality.

Al Dhaen stated that this achievement reflects the commitment of postal sector employees to applying best practices and standards in service delivery, their proactive response to the Committee’s recommendations, and their dedicated efforts to achieve institutional excellence. She praised the positive role of post office teams in strengthening communication with beneficiaries and improving their experience, thereby reinforcing the role of postal services as a key element in the evolving government service ecosystem.

19th December 2024: Bahrain Post, part of the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, has issued four commemorative stamps to mark the inauguration of the Bapco Modernisation Project. The stamps also celebrate Bahrain’s National Days and the 25th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Accession to the Throne, along with associated national events.

The stamps feature artistic and aesthetic designs reflecting Bahrain’s civilisational and developmental achievements. They incorporate the "Silver Jubilee" emblem and highlight the importance of the Bapco Modernisation Project, the largest investment and strategic initiative in Bahrain’s history.

Led by Bapco Energies, Bahrain’s integrated energy group, the project aims to increase refinery capacity, enhance leadership, innovation, and competitiveness in the energy sector, and align with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and global technical and environmental standards.

The stamps are available at all postal branches and the Postal Museum, priced at BD 4 for the set and BD 4.5 for the first-day issue envelope.

13 March 2025: The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications announced that Bahrain Post has made several services available on the "My Gov app", as part of the ministry’s commitment to providing innovative, efficient, and sustainable digital solutions in line with the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Fatima Abdulla Al Dhaen, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Postal Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, said that the postal services offered via the "My Gov" app include the renewal of private P.O. box subscriptions and the tracking of postal shipments using the upgraded eKey (2.0). This system enables citizens and residents to securely access services through biometric authentication (face ID), allowing customers to track their parcels easily and securely while enhancing efficiency in government transactions.

Citizens and residents can access postal and other government services by downloading the "My Gov" app, available through the eGovernment Apps Store at bahrain.bh/apps. For more information or inquiries about the app, they can contact the Government Services Contact Center at 80008001. Suggestions and feedback can also be submitted via the National Suggestions and Complaints System "Tawasul" or the "Tawasul" app.

 

 

15th December 2024: Bahrain Post, part of the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, has issued a collection of commemorative stamps in celebration of Bahrain’s National Day celebrations and the 25th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s accession.

The stamps are available at all postal branches and the Postal Museum, priced at BD5 per sheet containing five sets and BD1.5 for a first-day issue envelope.
