29 May 2025 – The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications received seven Gold Shields in recognition of its post offices being awarded the Gold Category rating under the fifth cycle of the Government Service Centers Evaluation Program “Taqyeem 5.”
The awarded post offices are: Muharraq Post Office, Isa Town Post Office, Budaiya Post Office, Bahrain Mall Post Office, Hamad Town Post Office, Sitra Post Office, and Hidd Post Office.
The shields were presented by Mr. Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive of the Information & eGovernment Authority and Chairman of the Government Service Centers Evaluation Committee, along with Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration and Deputy Chairperson of the Evaluation Committee.
On this occasion, HE Fatima Abdullah Al Dhaen, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Post at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, affirmed that the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, represent a cornerstone in the ongoing development of government services and the enhancement of their efficiency and quality.
Al Dhaen stated that this achievement reflects the commitment of postal sector employees to applying best practices and standards in service delivery, their proactive response to the Committee’s recommendations, and their dedicated efforts to achieve institutional excellence. She praised the positive role of post office teams in strengthening communication with beneficiaries and improving their experience, thereby reinforcing the role of postal services as a key element in the evolving government service ecosystem.
